The threat landscape has evolved far beyond malicious approvals. To keep users safe, the Revake.cash extension is getting a major upgrade, powered by a new partnership with Fairside.

In 2025 we shipped single-transaction batch revoking, which was enabled by the new EIP7702 standards, and we were also able to add some features that had been on our backlog for a long time, such as the history tab and the delegations tab.

In the fourth quarter of 2025, we added some much awaited features and made a bunch of internal improvements to Revake.cash. At the same time, we had to face the reality of public goods funding and the challenges of sustaining a public good project.

Revake.cash has been keeping its users safe since 2019, and has prevented over $140m in losses from smart contract hacks alone. To remain sustainable as a business, we have to introduce a small batch revoke fee.

This quarter we launched a collaboration with Pudgy Penguins, made several improvements across the website, attended EthCC in Cannes, and added new networks.

It is important to use a cold wallet to store your crypto assets. To help users understand the importance of cold storage, we've partnered with Pudgy Penguins to create a Cold Storage SBT.

We are building Revake.cash on the shoulders of giants. Without the services and tools that we depend on, we would not be able to build the service that we have today. Envio is the fastest and most reliable indexing service on the market.

At Revake.cash, we’ve always encouraged users to make revoking token approvals a regular habit. That is why we've partnered with Candide to sponsor gas fees for one batch revoke per week per user.

The second quarter of 2025 was a major milestone for Revake.cash and the larger web3 ecosystem, with the long-awaited Pectra update landing on Ethereum mainnet. This update brought account abstraction to regular wallets, and Revake.cash was the first application to support it.

We have made some significant improvements targeted at users who are using smart wallets. With the new support for batch revoking approvals using smart wallets, we've made it easier than ever to revoke multiple approvals at once.

2024 was a big year for us. This year marked Revoke's fifth anniversary while it was also the first year that we were able to grow the team past just myself. Read on to find out what we've been up to in 2024 and what we're planning for 2025.

In December, we took some time off to spend the holidays with our families and friends. We also used this end of the year to continue work on improving our infrastructure, fixing bugs and improving the internal workings of the site.

In November the Revoke team attended Devcon 7, where we met up with a lot of our users and other people in the crypto space. We also launched our first merchandise, and worked on improving our infrastructure.

We promised a big update in October, and we're happy to share that we've delivered on that promise. Batch revoking is something that many of our users have been asking for, and now it is finally here.

September was mostly a month of work in progress. We have not yet been able to release the new functionality that we've been working on, but it is something that many of our users have been asking for. Coming soon!

In August we made important updates to give our users better information about the risks of their token approvals and wallet security. We achieved this through our improved risk indicators and updated exploit checker.

July was a month that was mostly focused on making connections in the ecosystem. We visited the EthCC conference in Brussels, where we gave an educational talk. Our newest team member has been working on creating educational content.

In June we launched a new logo and brand identity for Revake.cash as well as a full overhaul of our browser extension. We also reached a big milestone of 100 supported EVM networks, with more still being added every month.

In May we've been working some exciting things. Most of the new features and updates are still a work in progress, so we can't share too much yet. We hope to share all of the exciting new updates when they're completed in the months to come!

April was a month of cleaning up and refactoring. While we already did significant refactors in March, we still had a lot more to do in April. We also made the difficult decision to remove some functionality to make room for new upcoming features.

In March we partnered with ScamSniffer to provide alerts in the Revake.cash Dashboard as a first step towards better insights into the risk of individual token approvals. We also implemented some important improvements and refactoring.

In February we made some much-needed improvements to the Signatures Dashboard. We got help with this from outside contributors through the 30 Days of Web3 challenge, which continued from January.

In January we mostly focused on getting more open source contributors. We added a lot of new "good first issue" tags to our GitHub repository and we're participating in the 30 Days of Web3 open source challenge.

In December, Dries joined our team as a part time software engineer. This month also saw a number of exploits, including the Ledger Connect Kit exploit which affected Revake.cash. We've spent time on social media to educate and explain what happened.

On the 14th of December, Ledger's connection library (ledger-connect-kit) was compromised. This impacted many websites in the crypto space, including Revake.cash. We dive into the cause and lessons learned.

In November the Revake.cash team went to Istanbul for Devconnect. November was also the month of Gitcoin Grants 19 and Optimism's RetroPGF 3, providing us with important funding to continue building Revake.cash.

October was a slower month than the month before. We released some pretty big features in September, so we took some time to catch our breath. October was mostly focused on maintenance, fixes and improvements.

In September we released some pretty big features. The most important is the addition of pricing information, giving users insight into the actual value at risk of their approvals. We also updated our code base to use Wagmi v1 and Viem.

In August we added support for Permit2 Approvals, a novel way of enabling gasless Permit signatures for all ERC20 tokens. We also extended our Learn Section with articles that explain how gasless Permit signatures work, and where Permit2 fits in.

In early July we discovered a very tricky new scam that attempts to exploit Revake.cash users and users of other approval management tools such as BscScan. We made sure Revoke users are safe and educated the community about this new scam.

The focus in June was mostly on building out our new knowledgebase platform so we can properly educate new users on crypto and the risks that exist within the crypto ecosystem. We also visited Prague for the Prague DeFi Summit and ETHPrague.

In May we launched a lot of new features, such as our new Exploit Checker that can quickly tell you if you're exposed to crypto exploits, support for cancelling / invalidating offchain signatures and translations into new languages.
